It was exciting day in Berkely with ESPN Gameday being on campus, having a student kick a field goal for $100,000. All they needed was a Cal victory but the Canes were to stingy. The Canes held the ball 15 more minutes then the Bears.

UCLA coach DeShaun Foster was forced to start Justyn Martin at quarterback at the largest stadium of college football. Martin didn’t disappoint with new weight placed on his shoulders throwing for 167 yards, 22/30 pass with a touchdown.
Lions looked to pressure Martin and he remained calm in the pocket, taking few hits versing bailing out like a veteran during his first start for UCLA. Bruin fans could see why he was placed in the position to lead the team.
“I didn’t really have to do, like, too much thinking. How we prepped during the week was, you know, pretty much what we saw out there,” said Martin, “So it was pretty easy to just go out there and execute.”

UCLA running back Jalen Berger took on a larger role in the running game with 9 carries for 38 yards during this game were it was a committee rushing attack. Keegan Jones made his presence felt with quick feet and rushing 38 yards and two catches.

Pasadena, CA – Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns as the Ducks downed UCLA in a Big Ten after-dark game at the Rose Bowl on Saturday night.
UCLA’s defense gave up 28 points in the first half en route to a 34-13 loss, where the Bruins offense failed to score a touchdown. UCLA head coach Deshaun Foster tried to remain optimistic about the offense’s performance after the game.
“The game didn’t go the way that we wanted it to go. But there were a couple bright spots. We were able to run the ball a little bit better in the second half…we just didn’t really execute the way that we wanted to, offensively, to try to help our defense out.”
Aside from the 12-play, opening drive by the Bruins offense, which resulted in a field goal, UCLA’s offense was dormant for the majority of the first half.

Oregon’s rush defense dominated against UCLA, holding them to an astonishing -7 yards in the first half. However, the Bruins would find more success in the second half running the ball. TJ Harden would finish with season-highs as he ran for 53 yards on 13 carries. UCLA would go on to finish with 47 yards as a team. .
UCLA quarterback Ethan Garbers would have his worst game of the season. He threw for only 118 yards and two interceptions. Garbers would also get banged up during the game and required his right ankle to get taped up mid-game.
Foster said that despite Garbers’ rough start to the season, which includes a touchdown to interception ratio of three to six, he still has supreme confidence in his starting quarterback.
“He’s a tough kid. He’s trying to find ways to make plays. It’s just unfortunate with what’s happening but I am riding with Ethan no matter what.”

Kwazi Gilmer made a surprising start for the Bruins as a true freshman wide receiver. He played admirably, leading UCLA in receptions and yards with four catches for 31 yards. In another surprising twist, J. Michael Sturdivant didn’t record a single catch.
The Bruins kept it competitive for the first quarter, as they were only down 7-3 going into the second quarter. However, Oregon’s offense turned it up a notch and scored 21 points as Gabriel threw for 139 yards in the quarter as the Ducks dissected the UCLA secondary.

The Ducks were on the verge of making it 35-3 before halftime, when Bryan Addison intercepted Gabriel’s pass and took it 96-yards for a pick-six with four seconds left in the half.
UCLA linebacker Carson Schwesinger said the turnover gave the defense momentum and took it with them going into the break.
“It gives us a lot of momentum going into half, you’ve got to be able to keep it as a defense for the rest of that second half and be able to get stops. But, yeah, going into half, definitely a lot of momentum.”
Defensively, the Bruins played significantly better in the second half. They shutout the Ducks in the third quarter and allowed a garbage time touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Schwesinger said the defense has to play more consistently if they want to have sustained success.
“I think we just came out in that third quarter and we were doing what we wanted to do…we were able to do it for one quarter, but we’ve got to string it together for all four.”

Los Angeles, CA – USC trailed by 11 and committed 3 turnovers in the first half before scoring 28 unanswered points and coming back to defeat Wisconsin 38-21 Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Miller Moss threw three touchdown passes and Ja’Kobi Lane caught two touchdowns to help the Trojans get their first Big Ten victory. Moss finished with 308 yards and also scored a touchdown on the ground.
“Super proud of the second-half resilience of this team,” USC coach Lincoln Riley said. “We didn’t play a very good first half in any phase. And you know, it’s kind of the second week in a row that we’ve been in the locker room and it’s like, ‘Alright, are we gonna step up and go play the way that we know we’re capable of?’ And then we did that.”
On USC’s opening drive, Lane made a sensational 32-yard touchdown catch that Moss threw between two defenders. USC took a 7-0 lead. Wisconsin answered on the next drive when quarterback Braedyn Locke hit Vinny Anthony down the sideline for a 63-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

USC wide receiver Zachariah Branch muffed a punt at the beginning of the second quarter and the Badgers capitalized on the turnover with Tawee Walker’s 18-yard touchdown run to take a 14-7 lead.
Trojans’ kicker Miachael Lantz added a 41-yard field goal to cut the lead 14-10. Wisconsin went on a 7-play, 75-yard drive that was capped by a Walker 4-yard touchdown run. The Badgers took a 21-10 lead into halftime.
The USC comeback started in the third quarter with Moss connecting with Lane for a 6-yard touchdown. After the Trojans forced a turnover on downs, Moss hit Duce Robinson for the go-ahead touchdown with 1:28 left in the third quarter.

“At halftime, we said we like everything we have. It’s just about us going and executing,” Moss said. “And I think the good thing about that is we had autonomy and going out in the second half and controlling what we control, and going and putting up points. It wasn’t like they were doing something that was world beating, and we couldn’t execute.”
Moss gave USC a 31-21 lead with an 8-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. USC linebacker Mason Cobb sealed the victory when he returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown. It was Cobb’s second career interception and his first-ever pick-6. It was also his first interception as a Trojan.
Up next for the Trojans is a road game against Minnesota on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Orlando, Florida- As I stand and end zone pregame, watching Travis Hunter make acrobatic catch after acrobatic catch. It kind of gave me the sense that he was gonna have a big game. In fact the swagger the whole team felt different, being in Florida, which a lot of teams key players have roots . Coach Prime being probably the best ever to come out of Florida along with Devin Hester, Warren Sapp all being Hall of Famers .
Now we get to watch another Florida great in the making week in week out in Travis Hunter.
When you think of the great two-way players to ever play the game you can’t help but think about Charles Woodson, Champ Bailey , and Jabrill Peppers most recently. But when you mention Travis Hunter, no one has ever dominated in the fashion he has in college football. Every time he touches the ball either on offense or defense, it could literally go for six.

Saturday afternoon was no different . And really when you think about it every time Shedeur Sanders drops back to pass and has a clean pocket. It could be a touchdown. “Prime” example first quarter, Sanders drop back to pass and launches a deep spiral to the middle of the field. In what looks like a sure interception for the defender becomes probably the catch of the year so far by Will Shepherd . Shepard lead all receivers with 4 catches 99 yards receiving.
“Sanders told Shepard early in the week this week is your week you gotta come through with a smile on his face”
Shepard replied I appreciate Shedeur having a confidence in me to keep come in my way.

Isaiah Augustine with 4 carries for 39 yards . Totaling for 128 yards collectively as a team, the most so far in Coach Prime time at Colorado.
The defense played lights out the entire game starting with Preston Hodge, who picked off UCF quarterback KJ Jefferson in the end zone on the very first drive. This is Hodges second interception of the year who is in second place behind Hunter who made a spectacular interception, striking the “Desmond Howard” Heisman pose like Howard did in 1991 in the end zone letting the world know by his play he should be the man at the end of season receiving the trophy for the best player in the country.
The Buff’s sacked Jefferson five times and intercepted him twice capped off by 95 yard fumble return by Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig to end the blowout and put the Buffs up 48-21 who came into the game being a 14 point underdog . The defense also held RJ Harvey one of the nations leading rushers under 100 yards for the first time this season. Harvey had 77 rushing yards on 16 carries. Nebraska Cornhuskers vs Purdue Boilermakers at Ross-Ade Stadium on, September 28, 2024. (photo by Andre Hollis / fi360 News)
Lafayette, IN – It’s college football, baby! Saturday afternoons are made for gridiron action, and this one’s no different as Purdue battles Nebraska in West Lafayette. Nebraska comes into this game riding the momentum of a one-game win streak, but the overall series between these two teams is deadlocked at six wins each. However, Nebraska holds a slight edge in Big Ten play, leading by one game.
With Big Ten conference play in full swing, there’s more than just a W on the line today—this game will break the series tie and give one team its first conference win of the season. Both teams had a chance to capitalize early with field goal attempts in the first quarter, but neither could convert, perhaps due to the windy 73-degree conditions in Indiana.
Regardless of the conditions, this game is a quintessential Big Ten showdown. Every yard gained, every down fought in the trenches matters as both squads vie for dominance and look to set the tone for the rest of their conference play.
As more fans poured into the stadium, the intensity of the game escalated—along with the penalties. Both teams struggled with discipline, racking up more penalty yards than points in the first half. Nebraska was flagged five times for 39 yards, while Purdue committed seven penalties for a costly 90 yards. One of Nebraska’s most crucial mistakes came when a would-be touchdown was called back due to offensive pass interference.

Purdue wasn’t spared either, as Hudson Card connected with Jaron Tibbs for what looked like a 50-yard touchdown. However, the play was wiped out because Card crossed the line of scrimmage before making the throw. Despite some comparisons between Nebraska’s quarterback Dylan Raiola and NFL star Patrick Mahomes, it was Hudson Card who had a Mahomes-esque moment when he completed a pass to himself, a move reminiscent of plays by NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and Mahomes himself.
In a gritty first half, Nebraska outgained Purdue, posting 196 total yards to Purdue’s 91. Dylan Raiola shined with 11 completions on 19 attempts for 161 yards, leading a more effective passing attack. Meanwhile, Purdue relied on its ground game with Reggie Love and Devin Mockobee, as Hudson Card struggled, completing just five of nine passes for 52 yards.
Special teams and defense took center stage when Purdue blocked Nebraska’s second field goal attempt, sending the crowd into a frenzy just before halftime. As the teams retreated to the locker room, the scoreboard remained empty, but the momentum was undeniably swinging in Purdue’s favor, setting the stage for an electrifying second half.
Both coaches likely emphasized reducing penalties and treating every possession like it was their last during halftime. Purdue emerged with their best drive of the day, consuming the clock with a 13-play, 55-yard march that resulted in their first field goal of the season. Spencer Porath nailed a 45-yard kick, putting the Boilermakers up 3-0 early in the second half.

However, Nebraska quickly responded, leveraging their ground game and capitalizing on penalties that led to first downs. Dylan Raiola connected with Jahmal Banks for a short 6-yard touchdown, putting Nebraska ahead late in the third quarter. This is what we call Big Ten gritty football, setting up an exciting finish to the game.
Nebraska found their rhythm in the second half, scoring once in the third and twice more in the fourth quarter. “Once we got it going, we couldn’t be stopped,” said quarterback Dylan Raiola. The defining moment came with just under six minutes left when Jacory Barney Jr. sealed the game with a 25-yard rushing touchdown, leaving fans feeling the game was all but over.
While die-hard football fans cling to the idea that “it ain’t over till the fat lady sings,” many Purdue fans began exiting the stadium early. Raiola made several key throws to receivers Jahmal Banks and Isaiah Neyor, while Emmett Johnson and Barney powered Nebraska’s ground attack, forcing Purdue to abandon their balanced game plan in favor of a desperate passing offense.
With the clock working against them, Purdue struggled to regain control. Hudson Card finally connected with Leland Smith for a 15-yard touchdown with less than two minutes left, but it was too little too late, as Nebraska’s defense had already put the game out of reach, even scoring a pick-six earlier in the half to make it 28-10.
Costly turnovers and penalties plagued Purdue, leading to a frustrating defeat. “Extremely disappointing and frustrating,” said Purdue coach Ryan Walters after the game. “From a defensive perspective, we tweaked a few things and made adjustments that I felt helped us.” Despite those efforts, Nebraska capitalized on every opportunity, pulling away with strong second-half adjustments to secure the win. Up next, Purdue travels to face Wisconsin, while Nebraska returns home to take on Rutgers.
INGLEWOOD, CA– The Los Angeles Rams rallied multiple times, trailing by ten points late in the fourth quarter to defeat the San Francisco 49ers with a Josh Karty 37-yd. field goal with two seconds remaining. Giving the Rams a 27-24 victory at Sofi Stadium as it was firmly established this remains RAMS HOUSE!
Had the Niners beat the Rams once more, the hopes, and effectively the season would be over. Fear not, Kyren Williams had an outstanding performance as the Rams season was saved for the moment, at a mark of (1-2).
Williams had 116 yards from scrimmage and three total touchdowns (two rushing and one receiving) in the win, while Stafford finished 16 of 26 passing for 221 yards and one touchdown.
Running back Kyren Williams’ 4-yard touchdown run tied the game at 24 with 1:51 remaining. After forcing the 49ers to punt on the ensuing possession, wide receiver Xavier Smith returned the punt 38 yards to set the Rams up at the 50-yard line.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford’s pass intended for tight end Colby Parkinson drew a pass interference penalty that advanced Los Angeles further into San Francisco territory, and from there, L.A. was able to use a 6-yard run by Williams to run the clock down to 5 seconds and set up Karty’s game-winning field goal.
Similar to the previous nine meetings the Niners jumped out to a quick lead. Both teams are dealing with the injury bug, which has infected the Rams and Niners early in 2024. San Fran was missing Deebo Samuel, Greg Kittle and Christian McCaffrey.
The Rams (1-2) matched their franchise’s biggest second-half comeback victory since 2006 while earning their second straight win over the 49ers (1-2) after losing nine of the NFC West archrivals’ previous 10 meetings.
Jauan Jennings set career highs with 11 catches for 175 yards and three touchdowns for the 49ers, who blew a lead of at least 14 points for the first time since 2018. While the Rams have salvaged hope for their season, the defending NFC champions were left flustered, frustrated and under .500 for the first time since Brock Purdy became their starting quarterback in 2022.
The Niners led 24-14 midway through the fourth quarter, but Jake Moody missed a 55-yard field goal attempt for San Francisco with 2:43 to play. Stafford hit Atwell for a 50-yard completion to the San Francisco 5, and Williams took it in two plays later.
Ronnie Bell then dropped a long pass with 1:02 left that would have put San Francisco in field goal range, and Xavier Smith — elevated from the Rams’ practice squad for this game — took his first career punt return 38 yards to midfield.
Photo by Jevone Moore / CCO
A 25-yard pass interference penalty against linebacker De’Vondre Campbell put the Rams in range, and their rookie kicker buried the kick.
Next Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams will look to even their record, traveling to the Midway to take on Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears at Soldier field.
This victory has the potential to steer the Rams into a playoff contender. It was a thrilling comeback that showed the Rams resolve and grit.

USC vs Michigan Wolverines at Michigan Stadium on, September 21, 2024. (photo by Andre Hollis / fi360 News)
Ann Arbor, MI- This rivalry, which typically unfolds in the postseason at the Rose Bowl, now finds a new home as USC makes its way to the Big Ten. Historically, these teams have met 10 times, with USC holding a slight 6-4 edge, and eight of those games took place under the bright lights of the Rose Bowl. Their last encounter in 2007 saw the Trojans emerge victorious, 32-18.
Defense always sets the tone, and for Michigan, it’s been the backbone of their success, paired with a powerful run game. In today’s Big Ten clash, that formula came to life. USC’s first few possessions were lackluster, perhaps rattled by Big Ten jitters or the 100,000-plus roaring Wolverines fans. On the other side, Michigan, despite struggling in previous weeks, looked like the championship team from last year, executing key plays and finding their rhythm.

Senior Josaiah Stewart made a crucial impact early, sacking USC quarterback Miller Moss for a nine-yard loss, igniting the crowd and boosting Michigan’s confidence. Moments later, the Wolverines converted their second fourth down of the game, setting up a 53-yard touchdown run by Kalel Mullins to put Michigan on the board, 7-0. The change at quarterback, with Alex Orji leading the offense, seemed to be the spark the team needed, even though Orji only threw the ball seven times. His control over the pace of the game proved effective.
By halftime, Michigan’s offense had unleashed its running attack, showcasing not just Mullins but also star back Donovan Edwards, who broke free for a 41-yard touchdown in the second quarter to extend the lead to 14-0. While USC managed just three points and barely over 100 total yards, Michigan’s ground game dominated with 199 rushing yards. The defense, playing with championship intensity, secured another sack just before halftime, sending the crowd into a frenzy as the Wolverines headed to the locker room firmly in control.
Though trailing at halftime, USC is far from a team that crumbles under pressure. After their nail-biting win against LSU, the Trojans were fueled with determination, and the idea that this game was over was simply unfathomable. As the second half kicked off, quarterback Miller Moss came out swinging, leading a commanding 12-play, 75-yard drive that culminated in a 9-yard touchdown pass to Duce Robinson. The tension mounted, setting the stage for yet another epic clash between these powerhouse programs.

But Michigan’s defense wasn’t about to be overshadowed. Will Johnson electrified the crowd, igniting the Big House with a jaw-dropping 42-yard interception return for a touchdown, pushing the Wolverines ahead 20-10 and proving they still had the heart of champions. The third quarter became a rollercoaster of adrenaline, with thrilling plays shifting momentum in both directions. Just when it seemed Michigan was gaining unstoppable momentum, a pivotal moment left coaches pondering, “What if?” Josaiah Stewart forced a fumble that defensive lineman Kenny Grant recovered—only for Grant to fumble it right back to USC! The Trojans seized the opportunity, as Moss connected with a wide-open Jay Fair for a 16-yard touchdown, narrowing the score to 20-17 as the quarter came to a close.
