Westwood, Ca- UCLA closed out the Legends of Track & Field Invitational on Saturday at Drake Stadium. The meet was highlighted by some big personal bests and nine event victories.

The field had many local colleges there to sharpen their skills, San Diego State, UNLV, Cal Poly, UC Davis, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, Academy of Art, Nevada, Cal State LA, and host UCLA.

San Diego State women’s 4 x 100 team blazed to 45.19 win : 1) Brown, Kristen SR 2) Henderson, Ashley FR 3) Auzenne, Micha SO 4) Glenn, Simone FR to start the track events off. The women may have a few less sprints to do on Monday practice pleasing head coach Sheila Burrell with win on her old collegiate track.

Academy of Art (San Francisco) men’s 4 x 100 team  won with a time of 40.78 : 1) Britton, Marlon SO 2) McNally, Alexander JR 3) Edwards, Jordan SR 4) Howard, Shaquille JR. Howard ran that anchor leg strong to secure the win, the former Long Beach Poly Jackrabbit said “It feels good to be back home!”
