Westwood, Ca- Ucla Legends Invitational day one has Bruins off to a fast start winning three event victories on Friday at Drake Stadium.

Senior Ida Storm opened the meet with a big victory in the women’s hammer throw. Storm unleashed the second best mark in the country with a season best of 213-6. Her throw was nearly a 12-foot improvement on the season.

Senior Alec Faldermeyer followed suit with a victory in the men’s hammer throw. The All-American cruised to the win with a mark of 204-10.

UCLA will close out the final day of the Legends of Track & Field Invitational on Saturday. Collegiate field events will begin at Noon while the action on the track will start at 2:05 p.m.
