Los Angeles, Ca – The lid is finaly off the basket as The Los Angeles Sparks get their first victory of the season 86 – 81 over San Antonio Stars. Nneka Ogwumike came up big with game high 27 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals in victory.
This was a team win having Jantel Lavender 21 points & Kristi Toliver 15 points to give Sparks a triple threat that they been missing this season thus far.
The Stars had solid performances by their front court, Dearica Hamby 19 points & center Sophia Young-Malcom 18 points.
The Sparks and staff will only have less then 24 hours to enjoy this win because they are back on the court July 3 rd to host the Tulsa Shock at 7:30pm.
