The road of a broadcast journalism is a constant Bet on yourself. Champion has always bet on her self with a strong support team. Switch over to Women’s Tennis for the Tennis Channel was another bet that paid off having the opportunity to cover Williams sisters and many other. Then we all know the story from here after Jamie Horowitz the then VP at ESPN, hired the chipper, witty, fun loving professional with that infectious smile.
Champion will begin her morning “SportsCenter” duties in mid-July and will take part in a series of “interactions” about sports and entertainment with the crew at “Good Morning America,” which airs on ESPN sister station ABC.
Champion joins “SportsCenter”s’ impressive stable of female anchors, including Hannah Storm, Linda Cohn, Sage Steele, Lindsay Czarniak, Jaymee Sire, Sara Walsh, Jade McCarthy and Nicole Briscoe.
