San Diego, Ca – The stage was set for an emotional victory by the Chargers have little extra spirit on a special day. Ownership choose this Sunday to recognize one of their recent greats LaDainian Tomlinson aka “L.T.” with his jersey being retired and being place in Ring of Honor. All the extra energy did nothing for Chargers who were defeated by The Kansas City 33-3.

The visiting Chiefs had a game plan of their own which amassed 385 yards total offense. Alex Smith had his offense going on the ground and  through the air the injury depleted Chargers just couldn’t answer back. One of biggest Running Backs #92 Dontari Poe went over the top of pile for 1 yard Touchdown leap for game 1st score. That was story of the day, if Defensive Tackle score you better look out. The Chargers never led in the game managing only a field goal before the half.

This was a Family affair for the Tomlinson’s, with L.T. wife LaTorsha Tomlinson singing the National Anthem like a platinum recording artist. The halftime presentation was all L.T. with an emotional ceremony first having his name shown in Chargers Ring of Honor. He was overtaken with joy and even shed a few tears behind his sunglasses. He thanked God, Wife, Mom, teammates….fans and ownership, that is when fans booed. The San Diego fans let everyone know that they don’t want their team to move to Los Angeles and they are not happy with management right now. But after the boos the cheers came roaring back when the unveiled L.T. famous #21 next too other greats #55 Seau, #14 Fouts.

The current Chargers running back 1st rounded Melvin Gordon just could get things go today rushing for only 37 yards on 15 touches. The musical chairs offensive line could open up running lanes on Chiefs front seven.  It wasn’t too much better with Phillip Rivers being sacked 3 times and dropped balls all over the field. The drops were happening with all the receivers having their fair share of mental errors. The crowd even saw the 2-8 team start pointing fingers on the sideline. Rivers spoke on the exchange, “Brothers argue that what brothers due..”

Now the Chiefs are back to five hundred ball and trail the first place AFC West Denver Broncos by 3 games. The Chiefs will use today game as momentum to chase a wildcard spot if they can rack up some wins. This Chargers team will be in line for a great draft pick going into next year with the playoffs mathematical out of question. It will be up to Chargers coach Mike McCoy to keep this locker room together at seams so that things don’t get toxic. Next week the Chargers will travel east to face Jacksonville and look to get back in win column.
