Pac-12 Football Championship Game Set
as Colorado Captures First Pac-12 South Division Title
SAN FRANCISCO – The COLORADO Buffaloes captured their first Pac-12 South Division title as they defeated UTAH, 27-22, at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo., Saturday evening. Colorado will face the WASHINGTON Huskies from the Pac-12 North Division in the sixth annual Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Friday, December 2 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.Colorado captured the South title after finishing the regular season with a 8-1 Pac-12 record, 10-2 overall. The Buffaloes posted their first 10-win season since 2001.
Washington (8-1 in Pac-12, 11-1 overall) locked up the North Division title with its victory over Washington State in the Apple Cup Friday. The Huskies will be making their first appearance in the Pac-12 Football Championship Game.

Los Angeles, Ca – The hottest team in the nation right now is the USC Trojans who defeated Norte Dame for their eighth victory in a row 45-27.
Adoree’ Jackson put on a human highlight tape performance with three touchdowns in a game. Each touchdown more electrifying than the one before.
Jackson’s first touchdown was a 55 yard punt return just before the half. Then with 7:41 left in third quarter he took a 52 yard screen pass to end zone that made the score 31-14 USC.

As if Jackson couldn’t do anything more electrifying he returned a kickoff for 97 yards while hurdling the Norte Dame kicker in stride for the hat trick.
“I had great blocks from everybody,” said Jackson. “Right when kick was going off.” (When Jackson knew he was going to score 97 yard run.)
The crowd jeered in the fourth quarter “One More Year! One More Year!” Looking to convince Adoree’ Jackson to come back and not declare for the NFL draft earlier.
The crowd was also yelling for JuJu Smith-Schuster who may have played his last home game for the Trojans.
In fourth quarter Sam Darnold found Smith for two yard touchdown catch on the backside added insurance 45 – 21.
Darnold today controlled ball with no mistakes completing 19/30 for 205 yards 2 touchdowns. Did just want coach Clay Helton needed him to do to win.
Helton has been making the right calls, even unpopular quarterback change when it happen eight games ago.

“Hats off to a bunch of seniors,” said Helton “to go undefeated in October and November and come into Coliseum each and every time this year and come out with a victory.”
The Norte Dame rivalry has been little lopsided the last 14 years with USC only losing 4 of those contest. The winner gets year-long possession of the jeweled Shillelagh that.
The Shillelagh will be staying in Los Angeles for this next year.

USC road to PAC-12 Championship was not decided on the Coliseum field but after tonight with the Utah vs Colorado outcome. Washington already punched their ticket for Levi’s Stadium.
So know USC will enjoy this victory of the Fighting Irish and cheer on Utah to defeat Colorado.

Los Angeles, Ca – Led by three first quarter touchdowns by sophomore running back Charles Mincy Jr., Dorsey beat San Pedro 31-9 in the CIF L.A. City Section Division I semifinals Friday night.
The Dons advance to the Division I final where they will face Narbonne Saturday at El Camino College.
“It doesn’t seem real in a sense,” Dorsey coach Charles Mincy said. “These kids have grown and developed so much throughout the season. I’m proud of them.”

Dorsey didn’t waste any time as they scored on its first possession with a Mincy Jr. touchdown run from a yard out. On the ensuing drive, San Pedro was forced to punt. The ball sailed over the punter’s head, giving Dorsey the ball at the Pirates’ 9-yard line.
On the next play, Mincy Jr. scores on a 9-yard touchdown run to give Dorsey a 12-0 lead with 7:39 remaining in the first quarter.
After the Dons’ defense forces another punt, Mincy takes the handoff on third-and-seven, explodes through a hole untouched and goes 53 yards for a touchdown. The 2-point conversion failed and Dorsey takes a 18-0 lead in the first quarter.
San Pedro capped an 11-play drive with a 28-yard field goal by Tanner Carcamo. Dorsey quarterback Jerman Gotoy added a 16-yard touchdown pass to Antwone Williams for a 25-3 lead going into halftime.
“We came in ready to play,” Gotoy said. “I’m glad to take this team to the city title game.”

Gotoy capped a 9-play, 89-yard drive with a 3-yard touchdown run to give the Dons a 31-5 lead with 8:56 left in the fourth quarter.
“We think we are the team to beat,” Gotoy said. “Narbonne is a very talented team but it’s going to be a battle for sure.”
Mincy Jr. rushed for 120 yards on 12 carries and three touchdowns. Gotoy completed 8 of 17 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown while adding a rushing touchdown.
“We have respect for coach Manuel Douglas and his program,” Mincy said. “But we respect our program as well so we will watch film and get ready for Narbonne.”

Pasadena, Ca – The Cross Town Rivals almost lived up to the hype with the USC Trojans having the last punch 36-14 over the UCLA Bruins.
The Bruins started the game with their emotions high riding the wave of Senior Night. Twenty-four Bruins played their last game at the Rose Bowl in tonight’s game.

USC coach Clay Helton did a great job keeping his team engaged after trailing earlier 14-7 in the second quarter.
Winning their seventh game in a row tonight, may allow the Trojans to crack the top ten on the next poll.
The Trojans running game was solid again gaining 260 yards rushing, with Ronald Jones II gaining 121 yards with two touchdowns. They averaged 4.5 yards per carry, that will allow you to get a first down all night.

Quarterback Sam Darnold looked like a freshman at times, throwing the ball off balance, late across the middle, all passes looking for danger. Darnold did throw for 25/36, 267 yards, 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and two recovered fumbles.
The Bruins bright light early was sophomore wide receiver Jordan Lasley who finished with the teams only scores. Lasley 2 catches for 63 yards, and he even completed one pass for 30 yards on trick play.
Game after game the Bruins running game has been a sight for sore eyes, tonight rushing for 55 yards on 19 carries. 2.9 yards per carry will not cut it in the PAC-12 play.
With tonight’s loss the Bruins fall to 4 – 7 record and mathematically out of a bowl game this season. So younger guys will miss having the extra two weeks of practice a team gets.

Now the Trojans are in the driver seat with a record 8-3, with another rival Norte Dame coming to the Coliseum next Saturday with a 12:30pm kickoff.
They will also need Utah to defeat Colorado next week to allow them to reach the PAC-12 Championship game the will also be decided next week for the North representative Washington/Washington State. Who knew that the Apple Cup would have so much weight.
In USC post game press conference the question came up about scoreboard watching, they answered we just have to take it one game at a time.
Jim Mora and his Bruins will finish the season on the road facing Cal Berkeley Bears.
The Trojans now have won two straight years over the Bruins.

Los Angeles, Ca – The USC Trojans had they way in air and on the ground defeating Oregon 45-20 on Homecoming at The Coliseum.
For the second game in a row running back Ronald Jones II showed off his speed and vision rushing for 171 yards with four touchdowns. Most of Jones runs looked like he was shot out of a canon threw Oregon defense.
This was a great game for Alums to come back to see then their beloved Trojans for Homecoming. October was a great month for USC coach Clay Helton who went undefeated and November started off the same with a Victory.

Once the Trojans were winning 45-13 coach Helton flooded the field with reserves to finish off the 4th quarter, even Max Brown was in at quarterback.
Oregon normally known for their explosive offensive went three and out on their first three series to start the game. They just were not able to get things moving to allow the defense to rest before being called back on the field to stop Jones II.
It all worked out again for Sam Darnold being under center who threw for 309 yards, 2 touchdowns on 28-40 passes. He hit 10 different targets spreading the ball around, one to Oregon safety Brenden Schooler.

Receiver Deontay Burnett had a breakout game with seven catches for 87 yards and touchdown on a drive were he caught four pass on that drive in 2nd Quarter.
Oregon did manage to gain 288 total yards on offense for game lead by quarterback Justin Herbert. Earlier in the game there were few plays that Oregon wish they had back that could gave them a better start.
In first quarter Oregon big opportunity they missed a touchdown when Darren Carrington got behind Iman Marshall and dropped the pass. Right after that Jones II scored on the next series for second of the game.
This was USC fifth victory in a row, and will need all the momentum they can get to face PAC-12 only undefeated team the Washington Huskies on the road.
This victory also makes USC 6-3 being bowl eligible for the season with a chance to play in PAC-12 Championship game if few things break their way.

There are thousand different rainbow colored friends that love to hug all day spreading joy and happiness. Kendrick described the trolls, “So ugly but cute.”

They directors of this film are Mike Mitchell & Walt Dohrn who were the perfect duo to bring such a special film to life. Justin Timberlake is main character in film but his title as Executive Music Producer brought him just as much satisfaction working on the film. This films has a 70’s funk sound theme throughout. Timberlake shared, “70’s was inspiration of Can’t Stop the Music.”
Poppy the lead, a relentlessly upbeat – if slightly naive – troll who’s father King Peppy saved his subjects from the Troll-hungry Bergens. She discovers that being true to yourself is always the best answer.
Branch is the over-cautious paranoid survivalist in Troll Village, who lives in fear of invasion from the Bergens. The only Troll in the village who doesn’t sing, dance or hug, Branch lives a disgruntled existence, constantly trying to prepare for the worst.
Creek is the most positive, supportive, reassuring Troll in all of Troll Village, approaching everything with Zen like wisdom. He’s calm collected and capable.

Torrance, Ca – Narbonne scored early and often as the Gauchos defeated San Pedro, 41-3, Friday night at El Camino College. Narbonne improves to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the Marine League. The Gauchos dominated San Pedro on both sides of the ball.
Narbonne went on a 5-play, 60-yard opening drive, which was capped by a Jalen Chatman 15-yard touchdown pass to Stephon Robinson. Chatman found Robinson again, this time for a 45-yard touchdown to give the Gauchos a 14-0 lead with 9:27 remaining in the second quarter.
“We knew we were going to be limited in possessions,” Chatman said. “So we tried to score on as many possessions as possible.”
After the Gauchos’ defense forced another punt, Chatman capped a 57-yard drive with a quarterback sneak from a yard out to extend the lead, 21-0. Chatman completed 17 of 20 passes for 312 yards and four touchdowns while adding one rushing touchdown.
“Every win against San Pedro is a big win,” Narbonne coach Manuel Douglas said. “When we play them, I’m always stressing the little things because they (San Pedro) prepare so well.”
The Narbonne defense held San Pedro to 71 total yards in the first half. Chatman continued his stellar play with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Tre Walker in the third quarter.
“There’s no drive more critical than the next one,” Douglass said to his defense at halftime. “Our defense was able to get San Pedro off the field, and that’s really what matters.”
Running back Kameron Denmark put the game out of reach with a 19-yard touchdown run to give the the gauchos a 34-3 lead with 3:56 left in the third quarter. Denmark rushed for 109 yards on 12 carries.
“I felt like I could break one on any given play,” Denmark said on his touchdown run. “It was a wide open hole and I got good blocks downfield from my receivers.”
Walker scored his second touchdown of the game on a 51-yard screen pass from Chatman to seal the win with 23 seconds left in the third quarter. Walker finished with 128 yards on seven receptions.
“The coaches did a great job of game planning,” Denmark said. “We moved the ball effectively on offense and mixed in the running game with the passing game.”

Los Angeles, Ca – USC finds a running game with Ronald Jones II who set the tone for the game on their first offensive play that went for 61 yards in 45-24 victory over Cal Bears.
The ground attack opened up this game USC in the first half rushing for 260 yards. Ronald Jones II was key running back who was gaining yards in large chunks to set up their offense.
USC had 398 total rushing yards, with normal starter Justin Davis who was out due to injury but was on front cover of the game program.

The teams may have come into tonight’s game with identical 4-3 records overall, USC was clearly the better team. Even when look at percentages USC has won 70% of their games on Thursday.
Cal had won the coin flip but USC went up 14-0 before they could even think about getting on the scoreboard.
Turnovers were a big help to get Cal’s offense on track, they scored their first 10 points of game off fumbles. Without the short fields Cal could just not sustain a drive on defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast defense.

Davis Webb was Cal only option that was working a little bit, hitting 11 different receivers for 333 yards. Playing catch up all game Webb could only manage two touchdowns for the Bears.
The crowd started to walk out early in fourth quarter with 42-24 Trojans lead when the rain rolled back in open stadium.
Cal’s front seven gave Sam Darnold all day in the pocket managing only one sack. Darnold did make some freshman mistakes but USC was up by two score lead almost all game it didn’t affect the game outcome. He finished with 5 touchdowns pass and 231 yards for a solid game.
USC Offensive Coordinator Tee Martin has began to catch a nice rhythm as a play caller.
Next the USC Trojans will take their four game winning streak at home against the Oregon Ducks who have had their own challenges this season.

Offensive: Joe Williams, Sr., RB, Utah • Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week Joe Williams set the Utah single-game rushing record with 332 yards on 29 carries (11.4 average) in the Utes’ 52-45 win at UCLA. • The senior’s 332 yards is the fourth-best single-game rushing total in Pac-12 history and the best in the FBS this year. • Williams tied the school record for rushing touchdowns in a game with four.
Defensive: Tedric Thompson, Sr., DB, Colorado • In CU’s 10-5 win over Stanford, senior Tedric Thompson made two interceptions, the first at the end of the first half and the second with just under 7 minutes left in the game, returning the latter 30 yards to set up a field goal. • He also had five tackles (two solo), a third down stop and a touchdown save. • Thompson’s first pick at the time also extended Colorado’s nation-leading streak to 21 games forcing at least one turnover, but CU went on to force three more.

Special Teams: Robert Taylor, Jr., DB/KR, Washington State • In his lone kickoff return, Robert Taylor ran 100 yards for the touchdown in WSU’s 37-32 win at Arizona State. • Taylor’s touchdown return was the first by a WSU player since 2003 when Sammy Moore had one at Colorado. The Courgars went on to score the game’s next 28 points.

Pasadena, CA – UCLA leveraged their house on Mike Fafaul who dropped back to pass 76 times in 52-45 loss to Utah at the Rose Bowl.
The game plan was clear for the Bruins throw the ball and use Fafaul athleticism to try and get back into the win column after two straight losses. Fafaul threw for 464 yards, completed 40/70, 5 touchdowns and disappointing 4 interceptions.

Utah caught fire with their ground game rushing for 360 yards for the game. Joe Williams lead the way with 332 yards on 29 carries with 4 touchdowns. Williams coming back after retiring for 28 days from the team. Last week was first game action versus Oregon State rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown.
The Bruins defense had the pressure of keeping the team close to win. The front seven didn’t have the right alignment to stop the B gap runs. They were able to sack the quarterback 5 times which was a season high.

Ucla could have used this type of offensive explosion in previous games. 45 points tied the Bruins highest point total in a game. Fans will wonder what if the Rosen had playbook of pass happy what could he do?
Utah with the win today will be the home of ESPN Gameday when they face off against undefeated Washington Huskies.
Quarterback Troy Williams was needed as a game manager against Ucla. This upcoming week the spotlight will be shining bright. Just two seasons ago Williams was under center for the Huskies before leaving the program for a local junior college. Santa Monica College was his team that he led to 11-0 season before accepting a scholarship with Utah. Williams was asked about Huskie game, “That game is finally here, I been waiting for it for two years,”

Jim Mora spoke about the negatives and tried to reach for some positives to push his team forward. He said he was still impress with his team coming off two losses and giving up but still fighting today.
So after this bye week the Bruins will face the red hot Colorado Buffaloes team. They have four games to play and need to win three to be bowl eligible. Not bowling will be disappointing and they will lose out on much needed extra two weeks of practice.
