

Tempe, AZ- The heat of the desert was just what the USC Trojans needed to bounce back and cool off the red hot Arizona Sun Devils 48-17 Saturday night.
Just what the doctor order for USC to get back on track Student Body right, with Ronald Jones the II and that running game ran for 216 yards with two touchdowns against the Sun Devils.
To open up the second quarter Jones took one 67 yards for his first touchdown to make it 21-3 before the Sun Devils could look up.

Sam Darnold of old was back in pocket letting his playmakers make magic for him and not pressing the issue. He capped off 9 play 75 yard drive with 32 yard touchdown to Deontay Burnett.
“It definitely feels good,” said Darnold after his performance.
The Arizona State defense just could not mask their coverage enough to slow Darnold down.
The freshman Tyler Vaughs for USC chose the right game to break out and show case his receiving skills. Vaughs finished the day with 6 catches for 126 yards with two touchdowns.

The offense for USC found its groove even the defense got in on the scoring train with a 37 yard pick six by safety Ykili Ross.
The Sun Devils came into this game red hot with quality wins the past few weeks over once unbeaten Washington and Utah.

Behind the arm of Manny Wilkins Sun Devils were able to pass for 259 yards and a touchdown. They just were not able to stay ahead of the sticks all game. On third down they were 1-12 in picking up first downs. They never found a rhythm against USC.
“I think we are really gonna turn it around here from here and be the team we really want to be.” said safety Chris Hawkins
Now USC will host Arizona Wildcats next Saturday November 4th at 7:45pm for Homecoming.
