Los Angeles, CA – The college bowl season is long been over and off season spring ball is in full swing for the returning college players. Then there are the seniors and underclassmen who are looking for the shot in the NFL.
A select few players had the opportunity to showcase their skill at combine in Indy. Most of the players trained for there schools PRO DAY.
Most major programs in NCAA host the NFL scouts and coaches to take a look at their athletes first hand.

UCLA & USC both have few stars who hope to be picked up before day two of draft ends. UCLA tight end Caleb Wilson and tackle Andre James are forgoing their senior season to play in the league.
Here are the stats from who was invited to this year combine:
17 quarterbacks / 28 running backs / 48 receivers / 21 tight ends / 57 offensive linemen / 35 defensive linemen / 22 Edge / 37 linebackers / 36 corners backs / 29 safeties / 7 specialists (3 punters, 3 kickers, 1 long snapper)
90 players from SEC / 53 players from BIG 10 / 46 players from ACC / 39 players from PAC-12 /
It’s always nice to get invited to the combine but that’s not even a guarantee that you will be drafted or signed as a free agent.

USC will have a pair of linebackers who have taken slightly different path to the draft. Inside backer Cameron Smith opted to stay in school last season as a junior. While outside backer Porter Gustin was injured and had to fight his way back to health.
The big day is fast approaching for these NFL hopefuls, no one knows who will be drafted where.
We do all know that there will be some big smiles and some heartaches after this weekend passes.
