2016 PAC-12 Basketball Champs “The Oregon Ducks”

Las Vegas, NV – Live from the PAC-12 Tournament Finals in Las Vegas Nevada. Where we meet up with the fighting Ducks of Oregon proving they had more than enough fight left in them to send Utah back across the Nevada state line with a big fat “L”! The 2016 PAC-12 Champs is Oregon with a final score Oregon 88 Utah 57.

The PAC-12 Tournament is a test of mental and physical strength. The team that has the ability to press on when they know there’s nothing more to give will always be the victorious one. In this case it would be the Ducks.

Both teams looked to be touched with some battle fatigue. But Utah mentally was done, with the excessive turnovers and bad passes left nothing but opportunities for Oregon to take advantage of.

After victory Oregon coach Dana Altman was asked if tonight game was enough of a statement for #1 seed tomorrow?, “Oh, that’s for the committee to decide. We just want to play. Wherever they set us up, wherever they match us up, we’re just going to have to go play.”

Coming out of the half the Utes were in serious trouble because the Ducks had found their second wind in the locker room and proceeded to run away from the Runnin Utes as if they were mere speed bumps on the road to victory. Oregon was crushing it in all departments 36 rebounds, 13 steals and 16 assist.

In addition to the the Ducks victory Elgin Cook earned the honor of being named the PAC-12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player. He spoke on what it felt like, ” It’s amazing feeling, but at the same time this wouldn’t be possible without my teammates and without the coaching staff.” Chris Boucher, Dillon Brooks,Elgin Cook and Tyler Dorsey were named to the 2016 PAC-12 All Tournament Team.
