San Diego, CA – Oregon St came down to San Diego knowing their identity as a team and imposed it’s will on the Aztecs. The Beavers 21-0 victory was due to ball control offense that dominated all game.

The Beavers racked up 420 total yards on the Aztecs defense with 237 yards from the rushing attack led by Jamious Griffin (8) with 89 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown. Then Anthony Hankerson (0) carried the rest of the major load with 71 yards rushing on 16 carries with a touchdown of his own.

“Obviously, not good enough, not even close and that on me,” said SDSU coach Sean Lewis, “We gotta do a much better job preparing our club to play and getting them to where they need to be for quality opponent in what we had tonight in Oregon St.”

The tale of the tape Oregon St had 23 first down just keep the ball away from the Aztecs that led to shutout. They held the ball 2/3 of the game with time of possession 41:07/18:53. The defense played all the snaps looking for answers.

“We prepared for it all week but we got on the big stage and don’t do what we were supposed to do, said SDSU Chris Johnson.

“We need to have better leadership from us older guys. When adversity hits, you can see at points guys on the sideline have their heads down, said SDSU Jude Wolfe, “It’s on us as the leaders to try to inspire and rally the troops, to keep things going, and to keep our heads up regardless of what just happened to us.”

The Aztecs will have another opportunity to get better and find a victory next week when they travel to Cal to face the Berkley Bears.
