Orlando, Florida- As I stand and end zone pregame, watching Travis Hunter make acrobatic catch after acrobatic catch. It kind of gave me the sense that he was gonna have a big game. In fact the swagger the whole team felt different, being in Florida, which a lot of teams key players have roots . Coach Prime being probably the best ever to come out of Florida along with Devin Hester, Warren Sapp all being Hall of Famers .

Now we get to watch another Florida great in the making week in week out in Travis Hunter.

When you think of the great two-way players to ever play the game you can’t help but think about Charles Woodson, Champ Bailey , and Jabrill Peppers most recently. But when you mention Travis Hunter, no one has ever dominated in the fashion he has in college football. Every time he touches the ball either on offense or defense, it could literally go for six.

Saturday afternoon was no different . And really when you think about it every time Shedeur Sanders drops back to pass and has a clean pocket. It could be a touchdown. “Prime” example first quarter, Sanders drop back to pass and launches a deep spiral to the middle of the field. In what looks like a sure interception for the defender becomes probably the catch of the year so far by Will Shepherd . Shepard lead all receivers with 4 catches 99 yards receiving.

“Sanders told Shepard early in the week this week is your week you gotta come through with a smile on his face”

Shepard replied I appreciate Shedeur having a confidence in me to keep come in my way.

The Buffs running game came out swinging with all three running backs having a productive outing. Led by the Ohio State transfer Dallan Hayden with 14 yards touchdown in the first half finishing with 33 yards on 11 carries. Micah Welch five carries 26 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Augustine with 4 carries for 39 yards . Totaling for 128 yards collectively as a team, the most so far in Coach Prime time at Colorado.

The defense played lights out the entire game starting with Preston Hodge, who picked off UCF quarterback KJ Jefferson in the end zone on the very first drive. This is Hodges second interception of the year who is in second place behind Hunter who made a spectacular interception, striking the “Desmond Howard” Heisman pose like Howard did in 1991 in the end zone letting the world know by his play he should be the man at the end of season receiving the trophy for the best player in the country.

The Buff’s sacked Jefferson five times and intercepted him twice capped off by 95 yard fumble return by Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig to end the blowout and put the Buffs up 48-21 who came into the game being a 14 point underdog . The defense also held RJ Harvey one of the nations leading rushers under 100 yards for the first time this season.
