Boulder, CU – On Senior Day Coach Prime and his Buffalos came out the gate swinging. Colorado came to play with the full display of stars shining bright as Prime sons Shilo & Sheduer Sanders put on a show. The brothers both made big plays to give their Dads team the biggest win since changing the College Football world.
Sheduer lit the Cowboys up throwing for 438 yards and 5 touchdowns making him Colorado single season passing leader with 3926 yards also is the touchdown leader in Colorado history with 35 on the season. To top it off he was name the Johnny Unitis Award Winner. Sanders stated that he will also be playing in their upcoming games . And when I asked him if he would be attending the Heisman ceremony . “He stated “he would go regardless to support his teammate Travis Hunter”.
Sanders also stated that he plans to donate to the collective to help all the recruits coming to Colorado so they could have a super team next year. The new players could have everything he didn’t have as he laughed.
Let’s talk about his older brother and teammate Shilo Sanders also know as “Headache Gang CEO” on instagram for his big hits and forced fumbles on ball carriers. Shilo came up with another big play after walking out for Senior Day with his younger brother and Father and Coach Deion Sanders . Dawning his father’s number 21 Sanders smashed star running back Ollie Gordan send him backwards 2 yards. He also recovered another fumble early in the first quarter and doing his fathers Deion Shuffle in the end to celebrate his second recovery of the season. Shilo will be headed to the NFL draft as well should hear his name called by and team and possibly has a opportunity to land the same team as Sheduer.
Colorado had everything going there way having three players play both ways Travis Hunter, cornerback-receiver- running back Isaiah Hardge Tyler Brown-Offensive Line Defensive line.
Coach Prime spoke about how no other power five school is allowing players to play both ways. Hardge had a Travis Hunter like play on offense with a 39 yard over the shoulder catch. Hardge could be the next two way super star in Boulder .
Speaking of Travis Hunter he started the game off with an interception on Oklahoma Oklahoma States first drive and had 10 catches 116 yards and 3 touchdowns Breaking the school record becoming the single season record holder with 14. Hunter and LaJohntay Wester both had a monster day, Wester had 11 catches for 175 yards and a game breaking 69 yard catch and run leaving the Oklahoma State defender in the dust to put the Buffalos up big in the second quarter.
Oklahoma State offensive issues pretty much every possession only allowing 77 yards passing and 70 yards rushing sacking freshman quarterback Maealiuaki Smith 3 time and picking him off twice . The best one being from from Cowboy DJ Mckinney who returned the pick for a score against his formal team. Mckinney stating that “he had no ill feelings towards his old team and that he envisioned the interception it the night”.
Colorado and Coach Prime played the most complete game on the night that mattered most to the players who sacrifice the most to make the program what it’s becoming today.
Coach Prime spoke on how much he’s grateful to have had the opportunity to coach his son and all the seniors that has help build the foundation of Colorodo football. Referring to the new recruit is coming in and his air replacement at Quarterback…
