Las Vegas, NV – Coming to you live from the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena entering into day two of the PAC-12 Tournament. The Colorado Buffalos and the Arizona Wildcats playing to see who would be going on to the semifinal round on Friday. Both teams came out savagely fighting but there could only be one winner and in the end the Arizona Wildcats were just too hot for Colorado to contain. The final score was Arizona 82 points Colorado 78 points.
Colorado being the No 5 seed going into the arena with a Pac-12 regular season of 10 wins and 8 losses versus Arizona record of 12 wins and 6 loses already gave Arizona what one could call through to ducted reasoning a slight advantage. Couple that with the fact that Colorado played the previous night we were surprised to see Colorado put up such a strong fight.
Colorado made no excuses for their loss today. They had strong moments determination. Now it might have been hard to see while Arizona was putting on the extra strength defense and reading straight through there to have them play right into Wildcat traps. Colorado never gave up even when Arizona had a 22 point lead. Those Buffalo stampede it there way back into the game and within 4 points. Most of that deficit was demolished in the last five minutes of the second half. All the while Arizona knocking potential shot out of the air like Godzilla and giving them the Billie Holiday Blues from three-point land.
Colorado gave the fans a valiant effort with the notable hard work from Josh Scott with 16 points 13 rebounds and “King George” George King with a ever and always impressive 22 points 5 rebounds all allow being 8 of 9 at the free-throw line.
Arizona presses forward to semi finals on Friday with major contributions from Ryan Anderson ,Gabe York, Kadeem Allen and Allonzo Trier. Will they have what it takes to be the last team standing?
The next game will see Arizona 4 vs Oregon 1 at 6pm back at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
