Los Angeles, Ca- Clippers may have a new logo next year? Changing traditions is hard to do but we do it all the time. Fashion trends around the world change every season, why not a change for New Los Angeles Clippers.
Here’s quick LAC history lesson, the original Clippers were the Buffalo Braves in 1970 season with team colors of Black & Orange. Their next stop was sunny San Diego, Ca in 1978. They owners ran a contest to rename the team because felt Braves didn’t match the city. We all know what name won, the San Diego Clippers cruising in San Diego Bay. They even changed the colors dropping the black and adding baby blue to compliment orange. Since 1984 the Clippers have been in Los Angeles, with the summer Olympics being in Los Angeles the Clippers adapted to Red & Blue.
The new possible logo changes will definitely take some time getting use to but, only time will tell. If the Clippers make the change for 2015-2016 season they won’t be the only ones. The NBA contract with Adidas will expire after 2016-2017 season. So they will be new look and logo supping the all the teams uniforms and apparel. Adidas has been the league’s official apparel and uniform sponsor since 2006, when it signed an 11-year deal with the league valued at $400 million.
As for now let’s continue to watch this exciting NBA Playoffs chasing after LARRY!!!
